Daffodil Embroidered Bookmark – March Birth Flower

£24.00

Beautifully stitched by Sarah, this linen floral bookmark is created using freehand machine embroidery.

Description

The daffodil is the birth flower of March and represents new beginnings, happiness and joy. As the national flower of Wales, Sarah will happily stitch Cennin Pedr for you – just add a note at checkout.

This pretty stem is stitched by Sarah using freehand machine embroidery, a technique also known as drawing with thread. The design is created by moving the fabric (positioned in a hoop) freely underneath the needle of her domestic machine creating a unique piece of stitched art.

Feather stitch is used to attach a second piece of linen to the reverse giving a heavier weight of fabric as well as producing a decorative border. The bookmarks are finished with a narrow frayed edge.

Measurements approx. 10 x 20 cm.

Your bookmark will be beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and posted in a hard-board envelope.

The perfect gift for a lover of books and botanicals.
